Rowanberry compote
Description
Vitamin P (rutin) is considered a flavonoid—a substance that slows down the aging process and has a beneficial effect on our body. Unfortunately, there are only a limited number of recipes using these berries. They are primarily used for medicinal purposes due to their rich content of microelements and various sugars. However, in cooking, especially among home cooks, there are plenty of ways to process black chokeberry. First and foremost, it's preserved as jam. Delightful and unique in flavor are the jellies and preserves made from them. Many people prepare tinctures from these berries. I suggest making a simple black chokeberry compote for winter storage with a rather unusual and pleasant taste. The specified amount of ingredients yields one 750 ml jar.
