Description

The recipe won't take much time. Ingredient quantities are calculated for a 1.5-liter container. How delightful it is to open a jar of peach compote on a harsh winter day and enjoy its summery flavor. If desired, the compote can be slightly warmed before serving. It pairs especially well with sweet baked goods such as pancakes, blinis, flapjacks, etc. The drink is ready to serve.

    Prepare the listed ingredients. Thoroughly rinse the peaches in water, removing the fuzzy layer.

    Slice the fruit flesh into a saucepan, removing the pits. If the pits come out easily, you can use peach halves to make the compote.

    Add the sugar directly to the peach slices in the saucepan. Optionally, add a little citric acid or lemon juice, and vanilla sugar.

    Pour warm water into a container and place it on the stove, setting the heat to maximum. Bring the liquid to a boil and reduce the heat to medium. Simmer the compote for about 10 minutes.
