Raspberry and red currant compote for winter storage
Description
The drink is quick and easy to prepare. Let's face it, no store-bought beverage can ever compare to a homemade compote made from fresh seasonal berries with your own hands. I really love all kinds of compotes, and I recommend you prepare a few jars for later. The drink is ready to serve.

Bring clean water to a boil, then pour the boiling water into a jar. Place the lid on the jar's rim and leave it for 10 minutes. After that, pour the water back into a saucepan, bring it to a boil again, and return it to the jar. Let it sit undisturbed for another 10 minutes.

Step 5

Finally, pour the compote into a saucepan, add sugar, and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
