
Cranberry compote for winter storage
Description
The recipe won't take much time. The drink turns out a beautiful sunny color with a pleasant tartness. It contains many beneficial substances, so it will be very useful during winter and spring to replenish your vitamin supply. To make the drink tasty, collect rowanberries only after they are fully ripe. If the berries were gathered after frost, there's no need to store them in the freezer. Ready to serve.

Prepare all the necessary ingredients for making a compote from red rowan berries.

Sort the berries, remove them from the stems, rinse under running water, and spread them on a towel to dry. Place in the freezer for 3-4 hours to freeze.

Fill sterilized jars with rowan berries and pour boiling water over them. Cover with a boiled lid and leave until completely cooled.

Pour the broth into a saucepan and return the berries to the jar.

Add sugar to the saucepan and place over medium heat. Bring to a boil and cook for three minutes.

Pour the hot syrup over the rowanberries and immediately seal the jars. Turn the jars upside down, wrap them up, and leave until completely cooled. Return the jars to their upright position and store.
