The recipe won't take much time. Mulberry gives our compote an amazingly rich color, while strawberry mainly contributes to the taste, especially if you're lucky enough to have delicious and fragrant berries. You can preserve the compote in jars of various sizes. Keep this recipe handy—during winter, this drink can be served with any baked goods, different dishes, or even at a festive table. The beverage is ready to serve.

    Prepare the ingredients.

    Wash the mulberries and strawberries.

    Thoroughly wash a 1-liter preserving jar with baking soda, then rinse well under warm running water. Sterilize the jar and lid using your preferred method—over steam, in the oven, or in the microwave. Remove the stems from the strawberries, then place the berries together with the mulberries into the jar.

    On the stove, bring clean water to a boil, pour the boiling water into a jar, cover the mouth of the jar with a lid, and leave it for 10 minutes. After that, pour the water back into a saucepan, bring it to a boil again, and return it to the jar. Let it sit for another 10 minutes.

    Finally, drain the water into a saucepan, add sugar, and simmer for one minute.
