
Cranberry and currant compote
Description
Probably there is no simpler dish than compote. Even a beginner can wash the fruits or berries, pour them with water, and put them on the stove. It's worth noting that if you want a stronger-flavored drink, use more berries and less water, and vice versa. Add sugar to taste, and use filtered or bottled water. Don't boil the compote for too long—20 minutes is enough. Serve chilled.

Prepare the ingredients for the compote.

Rinse the cranberries under running water and place them in a saucepan.

Wash the red currants and pick them off the stems.

Add the currants to the pot with the cranberries.

Add sugar to the pot to taste, keeping in mind that both berries are very sour.
