
Pear compote from wild pears for winter
Description
The drink is quick and easy to prepare. Ingredient quantities are given for a 1-liter container. This colorful and aromatic pear compote will be in high demand during winter, when you crave fruits and a delicious fruit drink. If desired, you can prepare a larger quantity of compote for winter. Serve chilled.

Prepare the listed ingredients. Rinse the pears in water.

Cut each fruit into four pieces and remove the seed cores and stems.

Boil water in a kettle. Place the sliced pears into a jar and pour boiling water to the top. Cover with a lid and let it steam for 8–10 minutes.

Then replace the lid with the draining one and pour the liquid into a saucepan or pot, bring it to a boil again, adding 50-60 ml of water.

Put granulated sugar and citric acid into a jar. Optionally, you can add a little vanilla sugar for a more aromatic drink.

Pour the boiling broth into the jar to the top.

Immediately seal the container with a hot lid by screwing it on by hand or using a canning key. Turn it upside down and check the seal strength over the sink to ensure no air is escaping.

Cool the compote at room temperature and store it in a pantry, cellar, or basement until winter.
