
Pear compote without sterilization
Description

Prepare the ingredients. Sterilize the jar using a convenient method — in the oven or over steam.

Wash and dry the pears, then cut them into slices. Remove the core from the pears.

Transfer the pears to a sterile jar.

Pour boiling water over the pears. Cover the jar with a lid and let it sit for 10 minutes.

After some time, drain the water, boil it, and pour it back into the jar for 15 minutes.

Finally, drain the water into a saucepan, add sugar and citric acid, and boil for 30 seconds.

Pour the compote back into the jar, immediately seal the jar tightly with a lid, turn it upside down, cover with a blanket, and leave for 24 hours until completely cooled. Store the compote in the pantry afterward.
