
Cherry compote for winter without sterilization
Description
Cherry compote can perfectly replace a cup of tea in winter. This sweet fruit drink will appeal to everyone, and making such compote is very easy. I suggest a simple method without sterilization. Ready to serve.

Prepare the cherries, sugar, and water.

Rinse the cherries and remove all the stems. Place the berries into clean jars.

Pour boiling water over the berries, cover and let stand for 15 minutes so that the cherries release their juice.

Drain the water into a saucepan, add sugar, stir, and cook for 2-3 minutes until the crystals dissolve.

Pour the sweet syrup over the cherries.

Seal the jars of compote with lids, wrap them in a blanket, and let cool for 3–4 hours. Then store the compote in a dark pantry or cellar until winter. Yield: one liter jar.
