Description
Homemade compote made from fresh summer berries is very beneficial for our health. 1. Prepare the berries: rinse under cold water, remove spoiled ones and small debris.

2. Pour water into a saucepan, bring to a boil. Add cherries and red currants (or juice of half a lemon), bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer the compote for 5 minutes.

3. Add sugar, stir. Cover with a lid, remove from heat. Let it steep.
