
White cherry compote for winter
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Ingredient amounts are calculated for a 1-liter container. To enhance the flavor of white cherries, add a little vanilla sugar or ground cinnamon while cooking. Pour the compote while hot, straight from the heat, and immediately seal with scalded lids.

Prepare the listed ingredients. Sort through the cherries, removing any spoiled berries.

Remove the stems from the berries and rinse the cherries in water.

Transfer the cherries to a cauldron or saucepan, add granulated sugar and a couple of pinches of vanilla sugar.

Pour in hot water and place the container on the stove. Boil for 20 minutes from the moment it starts boiling. If you prefer slightly sour compotes, add 1 teaspoon of lemon juice.

When the berries have released their aroma and flavor into the liquid, scald the jar and lid with boiling water.

Pour the drink with berries into a jar, filling it almost to the top.

Screw the lid onto the jar and let the container cool at room temperature, then transfer it to the pantry. Do not turn the jar upside down! The shelf life of white cherry compote is 1 year.
