Plum and strawberry compote for winter
Description
The drink is quick and easy to prepare. I don't like overly sweet beverages, so in this version, plum adds a pleasant, subtle tartness that balances the flavor. Strawberries give the drink a fragrant and delicious aroma. This compote pairs perfectly with any baked goods or dessert. I'm sure you'll enjoy it and will want to make it for yourself and your loved ones. The drink is ready to serve.
Instructions

Step 1

Prepare strawberries, alucha, water, and sugar.

Step 2

Wash the strawberries and cherry plums thoroughly and dry them. Remove the stems from the strawberries.

Wash the preserving jar thoroughly with baking soda, then rinse well under warm running water. Sterilize the jar and lid using your preferred method—over steam, in the oven, or in the microwave. Place the strawberries and alucha into the jar.

Step 4

On the stove, bring clean water to a boil, pour the boiling water into a jar, cover the mouth of the jar with a lid, and let it sit for 10 minutes. After that, pour the water back into a saucepan, bring it to a boil again, and return it to the jar; let it sit for another 10 minutes.

Step 5

Again, pour the water back into the saucepan, add granulated sugar, and simmer the compote for 2 minutes.
- 6
Step 6

Return the fragrant and tasty compote to the jar with the steamed berries.
