Step 1

So, prepare the ingredients. For each one-liter jar, calculate the following: one-third of the jar filled with apricots, half an orange, and three tablespoons of sugar. The amount of water is individual—just as much as fits into the jar. The number of apricots may also differ from mine, since fruit sizes vary; the main thing is to fill the jar one-third full.

Step 2

Wash the apricots and remove the pits. Peel the orange and remove as much of the white pith as possible. Cut into attractive slices.

Step 3

Place the apricots and oranges into a jar. Pour boiling water over them. Cover with a lid and let cool for about an hour.

Step 4

Carefully drain the water from the jar, leaving the fruit in place. Add sugar to the water, bring to a boil, then pour this syrup back over the fruit. Seal the jars. Wrap in a blanket and let cool for 24 hours. Afterwards, store in a cool place.
