Compote for diabetics made from dried fruits
Description
Dried fruits are allowed with diabetes, but not all of them. Raisins are off-limits, and prunes and dried apricots should be consumed with caution. However, dates can be eaten in small amounts. To enhance the flavor of dates, add mint and tart apples—perfect for diabetics! You can also add a bit of fig and dried pear (if available) when making a diabetic-friendly dried fruit compote. Serve chilled.
