Assorted compote for winter storage
Description
Any berries can be used for preparation. After all, our compote is called "assorted" for a reason. I used cherries, gooseberries, and raspberries. The result was a wonderfully aromatic compote that both adults and children will enjoy.

Step 1

The recipe is calculated for one three-liter jar. I prepared several such jars at once. We wash the berries and place them into the jars. Pour the berries with boiling water. It must be boiling water to make the compote. Cover the jars with lids and let them stand for 7 minutes.

Step 2

Then, drain the liquid and add granulated sugar to it. Bring the mixture to a boil. Pour the prepared syrup over the berries. Seal the jars, turn them upside down, and let them cool. Store the compote in a cellar or refrigerator, whichever you prefer. I keep all my preserves in the cellar.

Step 3

The resulting drink can be consumed immediately or stored for winter, for better times and festive occasions.
