Cottage cheese dumplings
Description
Homemade baked treats for tea. Instead of raisins, you can use other fillings for the cottage cheese dough. For example, cottage cheese goes perfectly with prunes and dried apricots. You can also add dried berries and nuts. As a topping for the dumplings, jam, yogurt, ice cream, sour cream, ready-made chocolate sauces, or syrups work wonderfully. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.

Step 1

Press the cottage cheese through a sieve and add the eggs to it. Without stirring the eggs, sprinkle one tablespoon of semolina over them. Let it swell (2-3 minutes), then add washed raisins, 2 tablespoons of flour, sugar, and a pinch of salt to the dough. Mix everything well.

Step 2

Now, shape the resulting mixture into balls. Use wet hands to do this. To prevent the balls from falling apart, place some flour on a flat plate and roll the balls in it.

Step 3

Grease the baking pan slightly with butter or vegetable oil. Place all the dough balls into the pan, leaving a little space between them. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees, put the pan inside, and bake the dough balls for 15 minutes.

Step 4

The readiness of the dumplings is determined by the appearance of a golden crust. Place the slightly cooled cottage cheese dumplings on a plate, drizzle with any sauce of your choice, and serve.
