Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Crush the cookies into crumbs and chop the nuts. Melt the butter, cocoa, and sugar. Add the cookie crumbs, chopped nuts, and dried fruits to the butter mixture. Place the resulting mixture onto plastic wrap, shape it into a log, and refrigerate until firm. Serve the ready dessert.
Instructions

Step 1

Place the cookies in a bag and tie it closed. Beat them from the outside with a rolling pin or meat mallet. The cookies will break unevenly. There's no need to crush them into fine crumbs.
- 2
Step 2

I use walnuts and cashews. Lightly toast them in a dry skillet. Rinse the raisins and cherries. Use nuts according to your preference. If you don't like dried fruits, you can omit them altogether.

Step 3

Place 3-5 tablespoons of sugar, cocoa, butter, and 2 tablespoons of milk in a saucepan. Heat over low heat until a glaze forms.
- 4
Step 4

Slightly cool the resulting icing.
- 5
Step 5

Add the cookie crumbs to the glaze.
- 6
Step 6

Add nuts and dried fruits.
- 7
Step 7

Place the resulting mixture onto plastic wrap. Roll it up and seal the edges. This will give you a sausage-like shape.
- 8
Step 8

Place the sausage in the freezer for 45 minutes. Do not leave it longer, as the sausage will harden and become difficult to slice. If you plan to eat it later, it's better to store the sausage in the refrigerator instead of the freezer. Such sausage can be kept in the refrigerator for up to 7 days. Before serving, roll the sausage in powdered sugar, slice it, and serve.
