Sausage made from caramels and corn sticks
Description
Sweet caramel made from soft caramels should be cooked over moderate, even low heat, as the butter may burn. Use soft caramels, similar to "Korovka" candies. If the caramel turns out too thick, add a small amount of heavy cream.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the ingredients. I made half a portion, and it turned out to be a lot.
- 2
Step 2

In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
- 3
Step 3

Cut the caramels into small pieces with a sharp knife; this will make them easier and faster to melt. Add the caramels to the oil.
- 4
Step 4

Stirring constantly, dissolve the caramels in the butter over low heat. At first, it may seem impossible, as the butter and caramels will float separately in the pan. Keep stirring, and at some point, you will get a mixture that looks very much like caramel.
- 5
Step 5

Put the cornflakes into a deep bowl, pour over the melted caramels, and quickly mix.
- 6
Step 6

Place the slightly cooled sticks onto plastic wrap, shape them into a sausage-like form, wrap them like a large candy, and refrigerate for one to one and a half hours until completely cooled.
- 7
Step 7

Cut the prepared dough into portioned pieces about 1 centimeter thick and serve. It's delicious—this dessert disappears from the table in seconds.
