Description

Homemade tea‑time baking. There is a legend that Napoleon Bonaparte himself helped create the “Napoleon” cake. But that is nothing more than a pretty story. In fact, the dessert known to everyone since childhood was invented in Russia in 1912 during the festive celebrations commemorating the 100th anniversary of Napoleon’s expulsion from Russia. Moscow confectioners made triangular pastries with cream that resembled the famous hat of the equally famous defeated emperor. Many years have passed and the “Napoleon” has changed a lot. This cake is pure pleasure – delicate texture, soft layers soaked with fragrant and very tasty custard cream. Of course, to make this masterpiece you will have to spend quite a bit of time, but believe me, its tenderness and sweetness are worth it. The baking is ready. Serve at the table.
