Homemade coffee liqueur
Description
Coffee liqueur can be stored for a long time in the refrigerator, but it should be aged for 2 weeks in a dark, cool place so the drink can fully absorb all the flavor notes. The liqueur's strength is usually around 13-15%, making it a favorite among women, especially when paired with sweets. Serve chilled.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Transfer the ground coffee into a jar or another deep container. Boil water and pour 500 ml of boiling water into the container. Brew the coffee for 10-15 minutes, stirring the contents thoroughly. Don't forget to cover it with a lid or a saucer.

Step 3

In a saucepan or skillet, add the granulated sugar, pour in the remaining 100 ml of boiling water, and place the pan on the stove. Cook the sugar syrup for 3–4 minutes until it acquires a light caramel color, stirring constantly.

Step 4

Strain the brewed coffee through a fine-mesh sieve, removing the grounds. A small amount of sediment will remain at the bottom of the liqueur - this is normal!
- 5
Step 5

Pour the coffee into a jar or tall container, then add all of the sugar syrup. Mix thoroughly and cool to room temperature.

Step 6

Pour in the vodka. Use high-quality alcohol to ensure there is no unpleasant aftertaste after tasting the liqueur! Close the container with a lid, mix thoroughly, and place in a cool, dark place for 2 weeks. Shake the container every 2 days.

Step 7

After the specified time, the coffee liqueur can be poured into a decanter and glasses.
