Oriental-style coffee
Description
The drink is quick and easy to prepare. Eastern-style coffee is brewed in a small pot called a cezve (or Turkish coffee pot). Coffee beans are ground almost into powder. Spices, salt, and even garlic can be added to the coffee. However, this is optional—only cardamom remains an essential ingredient. Add spices in small amounts, just a pinch, so as not to overpower the delicate flavor and aroma of the natural coffee. Serve chilled.

Step 1

The following ingredients will be needed. I recommend adding spices, garlic, and salt to taste and preference. Grind coffee beans in a coffee grinder to a fine consistency.

Step 2

Add coffee and sugar to a small pot (cezve), pour in cold water, and place over low heat. Eastern-style coffee must not be overcooked or boiled. Wait for the "coffee" foam to rise, then remove the pot from the heat. Skim the foam with a spoon into cups. Repeat this process several times, ensuring the coffee does not boil. At the end of brewing, add ground spices, salt, and crushed garlic.

Step 3

Pour the coffee into cups in a thin stream, including the grounds. Serve with ice water, honey, or dates.
