Strawberries for Winter Without Sterilization
Description
Perfect for winter stocks. The recipe specifies the amount of sugar and citric acid, but does not specify how much berry per jar. That is because everyone has their own preferences on that. Minimum fill is about a third of the jar, and maximum is at your discretion. 1. First, put purified water on the heat. 2. Wash the jars in advance and sterilize them if you can (but it is entirely optional). Place the lids in a small saucepan and cover with water. Put on the heat and bring to a boil. 3. Wash the berries, remove the stems, and sort carefully. For aroma, you can add a few mint leaves to this simple winter strawberry recipe without sterilization. 4. Pack the berries into clean jars. 5. Add sugar and citric acid. 6. When the water boils, carefully pour it into the jar in several portions, letting the jar warm up gradually. 7. Now you can take the lid out of the boiling water and seal the jar. 8. Carefully turn the jar over and shake gently so the sugar and citric acid dissolve faster. 9. Turn the jar right side up and leave until completely cool. 10. After that, the home-preserved strawberries without sterilization can go to a dark, cool place. Serve at the table or store in the pantry.
