
Strawberry syrup
Description

1. Wash and clean the strawberries, remove the stems. Cut each into four pieces.

2. Place the berries in a saucepan, pour in water (enough to cover the berries), and cook for 20 minutes.

3. Remove the foam that has formed with a spoon.

4. After 20 minutes, when the berries have lost their color and the syrup has turned red, pour the liquid into another saucepan, and strain the berries through a sieve (do not press them down under any circumstances!).

5. Add sugar to the liquid and stir until the sugar completely dissolves.

6. Wait until the syrup cools down, then transfer it to a container suitable for storage in the refrigerator. The syrup can be stored in the refrigerator for about two weeks. For a thicker syrup, cook it longer after adding sugar (10-15 minutes).
