
Strawberry jam without cooking
Description
There is really no need to boil this strawberry jam; the berries soak up the sweet syrup and keep the wonderful color and aroma of fresh strawberries. Serve at the table or store in the pantry.

1. Gather fresh strawberries.

2. Select only ripe and healthy berries. Measure out the sugar.

3. Rinse the strawberries and remove the stems.

4. Cut each strawberry into 4 pieces lengthwise.

5. Sprinkle with sugar. Repeat the same for each layer: strawberries first, then sugar.

6. The very last layer is sugar. Leave the strawberries overnight, covered with a lid.

7. In the morning, heat gently, bringing the strawberries to 60°C so the sugar dissolves completely. Turn off the heat. Sterilize the jars.

8. Pour into sterile jars, cover with lids until cooled, then seal tightly and store in the refrigerator.
