Strawberry jelly with gelatin
Description
The recipe won't take much time. If desired, you can pour the jelly with berries into ramekins, cups, or glasses, or you can strain the liquid through a sieve and let it settle slightly to make the jelly transparent. You can use either fresh or frozen strawberries. Just keep in mind that frozen berries contain more liquid, so slightly reduce the amount of water to ensure the gelatin sets properly. Serve chilled.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients. Wash the strawberries and remove the stems if they are fresh. If frozen, thaw them slightly in advance and then wash.
- 2
Step 2

Place the strawberries in a saucepan, pot, or non-stick cauldron. Add sugar and pour in hot water. Simmer the compote for 10–15 minutes over medium heat.

Step 3

Turn off the heat and add the gelatin, immediately stirring with a whisk. Let it sit for 5 minutes, then stir the swollen gelatin again with a whisk. Strain the entire mixture through a colander or sieve to remove the pulp. Optionally, you can skip this step if you prefer jelly with pulp.

Step 4

Carefully pour the warm liquid into glasses or ramekins and place them in a cold spot: on the balcony, in the refrigerator, or into a cellar or basement, especially if it's summer and hot weather outside. Chill the jelly for at least 1 hour, or you can leave it overnight.

Step 5

By this time, the dessert will have set nicely and become firm. Serve it chilled with whipped cream, lemonade, other sweet sauces, etc. Enjoy your meal!
