Cranberry sauce with figs

Description
Minimal ingredients — excellent result. In a small saucepan, combine all ingredients and simmer over low heat until most of the cranberries burst, about 15 minutes. Transfer the cranberry sauce to a small bowl. Let it cool, cover with a lid, and refrigerate for up to 3 days. Let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes before serving. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
