Cranberry Pie
Description
The baking is simple and quick. Making cranberry pie is so easy that you'll definitely write down this recipe in your cooking notebook! Instead of cranberries, you can use other berries as well—just balance their taste with sugar or honey. The pie batter should be rather runny, not thick, so that it completely coats all the berries. Serve cooled or slightly warm.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Grease a baking dish with a piece of butter. Melt the remaining butter in the microwave, but do not let it boil. Rinse the cranberries and dry them with paper towels. Place them in the dish.
- 3
Step 3

Crumble walnut kernels with your hands or in a food processor. Sprinkle cranberries with 60 grams of granulated sugar, then top with the chopped nuts.
- 4
Step 4

In a deep plate or bowl, combine the chicken eggs with the remaining granulated sugar and salt, beat thoroughly, and add the melted butter. Gently mix everything together.
- 5
Step 5

Add the sifted wheat flour. If you want a fluffier cake, add 1/4 teaspoon of baking powder. Mix the flour into the batter thoroughly. The batter should be slightly runny, similar to pancake batter.
- 6
Step 6

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Pour the batter over the berries and nuts in the pan, making sure it completely covers them.
- 7
Step 7

Place the pan in the oven and bake the pie until golden brown, checking the density of the shortcrust pastry. Then remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
- 8
Step 8

Slice and serve with tea or coffee.
