Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Dissolve the yeast in warm milk, add salt, sugar (30 grams), one sachet of vanilla sugar, beat in 1 egg, and mix.
- 3
Step 3

Add the flour and knead the dough. Knead for at least 5–7 minutes.
- 4
Step 4

To the kneaded dough, add soft butter and work it into the dough by hand.
- 5
Step 5

Cover the dough with plastic wrap and place it in a warm spot to rise for 1.5–2 hours.
- 6
Step 6

While the dough is rising, prepare the filling. To do this, blend the cranberries with the sugar in a blender.
- 7
Step 7

Lightly flour your work surface, place the dough on it, roll it into a rectangle, and spread the filling evenly over the dough.
- 8
Step 8

Fold the dough from the right and left toward the center so the edges meet. Cut into 8 strips.
- 9
Step 9

Twist the strips into a rope and join the ends into a ring — a “little wreath”.
- 10
Step 10

Arrange the prepared pieces on a baking sheet and let them “rest” for 15–20 minutes. Brush with a mixture of egg yolk and 1 tsp milk. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- 11
Step 11

If you like, sprinkle with sliced almonds or other chopped nuts.
- 12
Step 12

Bake the “cranberry wreaths” in an oven preheated to 180°C for 25–30 minutes. Serve the tasty, attractive pastry with tea or coffee and enjoy the scents and flavors of autumn!
