
Cranberry buns with orange glaze
Description
Perfect with tea and coffee. Recipe for a wonderful autumn dessert—buns filled with cranberry jam flavored with cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg, and topped with a glaze made from orange juice, powdered sugar, and milk. Serve cooled or slightly warm.

1. Prepare the cranberry jam. Place all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

2. Reduce the heat and cook, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens slightly, about 20 minutes. The jam will thicken further upon cooling.

3. Roll the dough into a long rectangle. Evenly spread cranberry jam on top. Pour melted butter over it, then evenly sprinkle with brown sugar. Add a pinch of salt. Optionally, you can add walnuts.

4. Roll the dough into a long, tight log, pinching the seam closed. Cut the log into rolls 2.5-3.5 cm thick and place them in a greased baking pan. Let rise for at least 20 minutes. Bake the rolls in the oven at 190°C for 15-18 minutes, until golden brown.

5. Prepare the glaze. While the buns are baking, mix all the ingredients, adding more milk or orange juice to achieve a not too thick consistency.
