Cranberry-orange jelly
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. In a small saucepan, pour 1 cup of cranberry juice over the gelatin. Let it sit for 5 minutes. Cook over low heat until the gelatin dissolves, about 4 to 5 minutes. Add sugar and stir gently until completely dissolved, for 2 to 3 minutes. Make sure the mixture is smooth. Remove from heat. Pour the mixture into a bowl, add orange juice and the remaining 2 cups of cranberry juice. Refrigerate for 30–40 minutes. Arrange orange slices on the bottom of a dessert mold and pour the gelatin mixture over the oranges. Chill until set, at least 2 hours. To remove the jelly from the mold, dip the mold briefly in hot water. Transfer the jelly onto a serving plate and serve. The ready dessert can be served at the table.
