Potato dumplings

Description

The recipe won't take much time. Dumplings can be boiled or baked. Serve them hot with fresh herbs, sour cream or tomato sauce, or with fried onions and bacon. They are often used as an accompaniment to soups. Meat-filled dumplings are especially popular. You can serve them as a side dish with meat or fish, or as a standalone dish with sauce. Serve hot.

    First, boil the potatoes in their skins, then peel and grate them on a coarse grater.

    Place the potatoes in a bowl, add eggs, salt, and pepper, mix well, and gradually add flour.

    Form several sausage shapes from the dough, then cut them into pieces and use a fork to make ridges.

    Place a large pot of water over high heat, add salt, and drop the dumplings into the boiling water. As soon as they float to the surface, immediately remove them.

    Serve the dumplings immediately after cooking with green onions and butter.
