Classic croissants
Description
Delicious baked goods for the whole family. At first glance, croissants may seem like a rather complicated dish. After all, the dough should turn out light, airy, with a golden crispy crust. In fact, the preparation process is so simple that even a beginner can handle it. The main thing is to follow the technique. See my recipe. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.

Step 1

Classic croissants are made without filling. Add all ingredients to the bowl and mix at low speed in a mixer for 3 minutes.

Step 2

Knead the dough for five minutes. Shape it into a square. Place on a floured tray and refrigerate for a couple of hours.

Step 3

Next, roll out the dough into a not very thick layer. Grate the chilled butter on a grater and place it in the center of the square.

Step 4

After some time, roll out the dough on a floured surface, fold it, and roll it out again. The sheet should be thin but not tear.
- 5
Step 5

Place the dough back in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Cut into triangles, roll up into small rolls starting from the wide end. Brush with egg yolk.
- 6
Step 6

Bake our delicious croissants for 15-20 minutes at 200 degrees. The oven must be preheated beforehand.

Step 7

Keep an eye on the baking to prevent burning. The croissants turn out very fluffy and golden brown. Serve them with tea or coffee.
