Description

Perfectly complements meat, poultry, and side dishes. Sweet and sour sauce is a staple of Chinese cuisine, and not only Chinese. A great number of Chinese dishes are impossible to prepare without this sauce. Of course, you can buy it ready-made, but store-bought sweet and sour sauce is never as delicious as freshly made at home. Plus, it's quite expensive. However, this sauce can and should be served not only with Chinese dishes. For example, I personally like serving it with chicken cutlets—it turns out amazingly tasty, though a bit unusual. Enough said. The sauce is ready. Store it in the refrigerator and serve with your meals.

    1. Prepare the necessary ingredients. Peel the onion, garlic, and ginger.

    2. Finely chop the onion, garlic, and ginger. Sauté in heated vegetable oil for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    3. Combine soy sauce, vinegar, wine, tomato sauce, sugar, and fruit juice (you can use either pineapple or orange) in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil. Mix the starch with water and add to the sauce.
