Quiche with mushrooms and tomatoes

Description

If you want to make a hearty, rich, easy-to-prepare and tasty dish from simple, everyday ingredients, mushroom and tomato quiche is just what you need. To my mind, it’s a very “masculine,” quite heavy and filling, slightly rough dish that doesn’t call for advanced cooking skills. Perfect for bachelors like I used to be :) Good luck with the cooking. The bake is done. Serve at the table.

    Roll out a sheet of puff pastry thinly and place it on the bottom of a greased baking tin. Shape fairly high edges (about three centimetres). Grate half of the cheese and scatter it over the pastry. Put in the oven and bake for 10 minutes at 170°C.

    Finely chop the mushrooms and onion, then sauté them in vegetable oil for about 5–7 minutes—until almost fully cooked.

    Spread the sautéed mushrooms with onions over the slightly baked dough. Season with salt and pepper and add your favorite spices.

    Spread a layer of finely chopped herbs over the mushrooms.

    Next, arrange tomato wedges on top of the greens. Salt and pepper again.

    Combine the beaten eggs, milk, remaining grated cheese, salt, and spices.

    Pour the egg–milk mixture over our quiche, then put it in the oven and bake for about 35 minutes at 180 degrees. Done! :)
