Description
Delicious baked goods for the whole family. The pie is very filling and tasty. It’s perfect for a family tea time or for when unexpected guests drop by. You can replace the ham in the filling with boiled or pan-fried turkey if you like. Any cheese works: cheddar, Swiss, Maasdam, Russian, or a softer one. The recipe is simple, and the result will be a pleasant surprise. Give it a try

Prepare all the ingredients.

Combine the flour, butter cut into cubes and salt.

Rub everything with your hands until it looks like crumbs, then add one egg.

Mix everything together, then knead a soft dough with your hands.

Roll out the dough to the size of the pan (25–27 cm in diameter), then carefully transfer it and shape the rim with your hands. Prick the dough with a fork and chill it in the refrigerator for now.

Dice the ham into small cubes.

For the topping, whisk the eggs with the cream, add grated cheese, salt, and ground black pepper to taste.

Transfer the ham to the dish lined with dough and pour the egg–cream mixture evenly over the top. Bake in the oven at 180°C for about 50 minutes.
