Flaxseed flour kissel
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Flaxseed kissel is very simple to prepare and requires few ingredients. To make flaxseed flour kissel, you'll need either flaxseed flour, flaxseed meal, or flaxseeds. I recommend, if making a small portion, simply pouring hot water over it; but for larger quantities, first mix the flour with a small amount of water to avoid lumps. Don't like the taste of the kissel? Just add honey, sugar, or syrup to taste. You can even add berries to the finished kissel before serving! 1. First, pour a small amount of warm water over the flour and mix thoroughly to prevent lumps. 2. Once the flour swells and the mixture thickens, transfer it to a saucepan and, stirring constantly, add warm water (half a liter). 3. Bring the kissel to a boil, stirring. That's it! Flaxseed kissel doesn't require starch—you can serve it slightly cooled.
