
Oatmeal kissel for weight loss

Step 1

Take a saucepan and pour oats into it. The oats can be either fine or coarse. Then heat two and a half cups of clean drinking water in a separate saucepan and pour this liquid over the oats.

Take a slice of white bread and place it on the flakes covered with warm water. You can use fresh or stale bread, or even add crackers. Cover the container with a lid, wrap it in a towel, and put it in a warm place for a couple of days.

After the allotted time, strain the flakes through cheesecloth or press through a fine sieve. To the strained liquid, add another two cups of warm boiled water.

Place the saucepan with the resulting liquid on the stove and turn on low heat. Bring the kissel to a boil, then immediately turn off the heat. Add a pinch of salt and mix thoroughly.

Pour the hot jelly into bowls and let it cool at room temperature. Then place it in the refrigerator for several hours to set. The resulting jelly will be quite thick and very convenient to eat with a spoon.
