Blueberry Kissel

60 min4 serv.20 февр. 2026 г.

Description

The drink is quick and easy to prepare. You can make the kissel using either fresh or frozen berries, thawed beforehand. If desired, you can strain the berries before adding the starch, but usually the pulp doesn't interfere. To add flavor and tartness, include a bit of lemon juice or citric acid. You can use either corn or potato starch, and instead of sugar, use a heat-stable sweetener. The thickness can be adjusted to your taste by varying the amount of starch; this recipe yields a medium consistency. Ready to serve.
