Homemade sauce is easy and quick to prepare. Homemade ketchup has a rich flavor and excellent quality. Make this sauce for winter using tomatoes and onions, adding your favorite spices for taste. You'll need a saucepan, an immersion blender, jars with lids, and a couple of hours. The sauce is ready. Store it in the refrigerator and serve with meals.

    To prepare the ketchup, we will need all the above-listed ingredients. In the absence of tomatoes, this ketchup can be made using canned tomato juice; approximately 4 kg of fresh tomatoes equals 3 liters of juice.

    Wash the tomatoes. Cut them into pieces and pass through a juicer. This procedure will simplify the preparation of ketchup and make your work and your kitchen cleaner after cooking.

    Peel the onion and bell pepper. Cut them into pieces. These vegetables will soften during cooking, and we will also blend them with a blender afterward. Therefore, there's no need to chop them too finely or cut the pieces too neatly.

    Combine the tomato mixture (thick tomato juice) with the chopped vegetables. Place over heat and cook for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
