Cupcakes in an Air Fryer

Description

A very simple recipe and one of the most successful mini cupcake recipes. Today we’ll make them in an air fryer, but you can of course bake them in the oven as well. Check the cupcakes for doneness with a toothpick—it should come out dry. You can swap the chocolate for berries or any dried fruit if you like, for a new and interesting flavor every time. You can drizzle the finished cupcakes with glaze or cover them with frosting, but they usually don’t make it that far—they vanish in an instant! Be sure to try them. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.

    Prepare all ingredients according to the list.

    Beat the egg with sugar, salt, and vanilla. To do this, whisk one egg with a whisk or fork and measure out half.

    Add the milk and butter. Stir.

    Then add flour and baking powder.

    Mix everything until smooth and homogeneous.

    Add chopped chocolate. You can buy ready-made baking chocolate chips or use a regular bar. I shave the chocolate into curls.

    Fill the molds with dough. It is easiest to use a teaspoon. Note that each mold should be filled to about two thirds (possibly even less, depending on the mold). Place the molds in the air fryer basket.

    Of course, baking time depends on the specific air fryer model. I use the “Bake” mode: 180 degrees and 15 minutes.

    The air fryer muffins are ready. I baked them in two batches. They turn out fluffy, fragrant, and incredibly delicious!
