Sour cream pound cake
Description
Delicious baked treat for the whole family. My version can confidently be served at a holiday table—the top of the loaf is covered with sour cream frosting and decorated with strips of melted dark chocolate. Even without decoration, this loaf looks festive. Despite the intricate pattern, it's easy to make, so even a beginner can handle it.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

1. I crack the eggs into a bowl and add granulated sugar, then mix everything with a fork.
- 2
Step 2

2. After slightly mixing the contents, I turn on the blender and blend at maximum power until it turns white.
- 3
Step 3

3. Add sour cream (15-20% fat content) to the bowl with eggs and sugar, mix with a fork or spoon.
- 4
Step 4

4. Pour in the condensed milk and mix everything again.
- 5
Step 5

5. I sift the flour (350 grams) in advance and add it to the liquid ingredients in portions.
- 6
Step 6

6. Each time, I thoroughly mix the dough to ensure there are no lumps.
- 7
Step 7

7. I put the remaining 50 grams of flour (out of 350 grams) into a separate container and mix it with baking soda.
- 8
Step 8

8. Add the flour with baking soda and mix everything once again with a mixer at high speed.
- 9
Step 9

9. Divide the resulting dough into 2 equal parts, transferring one part into a separate bowl. Add cocoa powder to one part of the dough. To the second part, add flour (50 grams) and vanilla.
- 10
Step 10

10. Thoroughly mix both parts of the dough to ensure there are no lumps.
- 11
Step 11

11. I line the baking pan with parchment paper and pour a small portion of the white dough into the center.
- 12
Step 12

12. Pour the brown (cocoa-mixed) dough over the white dough.
- 13
Step 13

13. Alternate the white and brown dough, each time pouring it into the center, creating a pattern like this.
- 14
Step 14

14. Bake the cake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for about 50-60 minutes.
- 15
Step 15

15. For the cream: mix sour cream (30% fat) with powdered sugar and beat with a mixer. Cover the cooled cake with the prepared cream.
- 16
Step 16

16. Melt dark chocolate in the microwave and draw stripes, then place the cupcake in the refrigerator for 20–30 minutes.
