
Cherry and Apple Cake

You can use either fresh or frozen cherries, and apples of any variety work well. This fragrant spiced bake doesn't need time to mature—once it's done you can serve the cake straight away. Prepare all ingredients.

Beat the softened butter with the sugar. Add the egg and beat everything together once more.

Pour in the milk. Stir.

Add flour, baking powder, salt, vanilla, and cinnamon.

Mix until homogeneous.

Add diced apples and pitted cherries. If the cherries are frozen, strain them through a sieve first so any excess liquid can drain away.

Mix and transfer the batter into a baking mould. If the mould is silicone, greasing is not necessary.

Bake in the oven at 170 degrees for about 50 minutes.
