Step 1

Thoroughly wash the dried fruits under running water and dry them. Place them into a glass jar, pour a glass of sherry over them, and seal the jar with a lid. Put the jar with dried fruits into the refrigerator. Let them sit for several days, shaking the jar occasionally. All the alcohol should be absorbed into the dried fruits.

Step 2

Take five teaspoons of brown sugar and almonds, place the ingredients in a mortar and grind thoroughly. If you have a coffee grinder, you can use it instead.

Step 3

Sift the flour through a sieve to aerate it, ensuring the cake turns out fluffy and crumbly. Add baking powder to the flour, then spices and seasonings: cardamom, nutmeg, cinnamon, and cloves.

Step 4

In a separate container, use a mixer or blender to beat the butter (preferably melted in the microwave beforehand) with sugar until the mixture turns pale and increases in volume. Then add the eggs and beat again.
- 5
Step 5

Place the dried fruits marinated in sherry into a clean, dry container. Take four tablespoons of flour with spices and sprinkle it over the dried fruits. Mix thoroughly.
- 6
Step 6

Add the dried fruits mixed with flour to the egg-and-butter mixture, then add the almonds crushed with sugar, orange zest, and all the remaining flour. Knead the dough quickly so that it does not settle.

Step 7

Grease the inner pot of the multicooker with any oil. It can be butter or any vegetable oil, the main thing is that it should be odorless. Put the batter into the multicooker pot and set it to "Baking" mode for one and a half hours. When the cake is ready, let it cool and serve.
