Water Cake
Description
Homemade baked goods for tea. When preparing, try to beat the eggs into the fluffiest possible mass. This affects the structure of the future cake. Also, do not overfill the baking soda. Scoop it into a teaspoon and remove the excess with a knife. Take the nuances into account and the result will pleasantly surprise you. The bake is ready. Serve at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the necessary ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

In a bowl, whisk the eggs with sugar and vanilla.
- 3
Step 3

Whisk for 2–3 minutes until a white, fluffy mass forms.
- 4
Step 4

Add the vegetable oil, then, in a thin stream, pour warm water and whisk immediately. The mixture will become noticeably liquid.
- 5
Step 5

Add the starch, flour, baking soda, and poppy seeds.
- 6
Step 6

Whisk again with a mixer.
- 7
Step 7

Take a muffin tin. I have one today with a cavity in the middle. Generously grease it with butter or spread and lightly dust with flour. This technique is called the “French shirt.” It prevents the baked goods from burning and helps them release from the pan without breaking.
- 8
Step 8

Pour the prepared batter into the pan. Place it to bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for 35‑40 minutes.
- 9
Step 9

After the time has elapsed, remove the cake from the oven.
- 10
Step 10

Remove the cake from the tin and transfer it to a plate. Residual flour can be easily removed with a silicone brush.
- 11
Step 11

The finished cake can be served both warm and after letting it sit overnight. The second option, in my opinion, is more interesting.
