Sour Cream Cake in a Bread Machine
Description
Homemade baking for tea. One of the main conditions for successful baking here is the characteristics of your bread machine. If it has a higher power, the cake may require less baking time. Be sure to check doneness with a wooden skewer. It can be served with tea or coffee.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the necessary ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Break the eggs into a bowl, add sugar, vanilla, and whisk with a whisk.

Step 3

Rinse the raisins, pour boiling water over them, and let them sit for about 10 minutes.
- 4
Step 4

In the bread machine's bucket, pour the beaten eggs with sugar, add sour cream, flour, and baking powder. If you have a “Cake” setting that includes a dough‑kneading mode, turn it on. If such a setting is absent, select the “Dough” setting and watch the process.

Step 5

Drain the water from the raisins and add a pinch of flour. Stir.
- 6
Step 6

As soon as the ingredients combine and a homogeneous mixture forms, add the raisins.
- 7
Step 7

Knead the dough for another 5‑7 minutes. In total, on the "Dough" setting, 15 minutes are required. Then stop the program. Switch to the "Cake" setting for 2 hours.

Step 8

After the time is up, check the cake’s doneness with a skewer. It should be dry. Transfer to a board and cool. Then it can be served.
