
Milk cake with prunes
Description

Prepare the necessary ingredients. Soak the prunes in hot water for 15 minutes, then drain and dry. Sift the flour and baking powder into a bowl.

Heat the milk and melt the butter in it. Separate the egg yolks from the egg whites. Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Beat the yolks with sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy. Gradually pour the milk-butter mixture into the yolk mixture in a thin stream, continuing to beat.

Add the flour and baking powder and beat. Then gently fold in the whipped egg whites with a spatula.

Add the chopped prunes to the batter and gently mix. Grease the baking pan with vegetable oil and pour in the batter. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 45–50 minutes. Cover the pan with foil for the first 30 minutes to keep the top of the cake flat.
