Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Place butter or high‑quality margarine in the bowl of a mixer or food processor and add the sugar and salt there as well. Remember that the butter should be at room temperature — this way it will whip faster!
- 3
Step 3

Beat the butter with the sugar for about 2 minutes.
- 4
Step 4

Crack 1 chicken egg into the bowl and beat everything for 2–3 minutes until the egg is fully incorporated into the mixture. Then add another chicken egg and beat. Finally add the third egg and beat. Do not add all the eggs at once — the batter will separate!
- 5
Step 5

Blanch the orange and grate the zest, add it to the container and stir.
- 6
Step 6

Add wheat flour and baking powder, mix it into the dough on low speed of the appliance. Adding the baking powder is mandatory.
- 7
Step 7

The finished dough will be light and bright. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees, but no higher.
- 8
Step 8

Line the baking pan with parchment paper, grease it with butter, and pour the batter into the pan. Place the pan in the oven and bake the cake for about 40–50 minutes.
- 9
Step 9

Remove the finished cake from the oven and tilt the pan onto its side so the cake doesn't sink or collapse. Leave it that way until it cools completely, about 1–2 hours. Slice only a cold dessert!
- 10
Step 10

When serving, dust the cake with powdered sugar and cut it into slices. It is incredibly fragrant and colorful!
