Kavurdok
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. "Kavurdok" translates from Tajik as "stew." This stew is made from lamb, such as lamb shoulder, breast, or neck. Potatoes are a must in this dish, while other vegetables can vary. For example, tomatoes can easily be replaced with bell peppers. Garlic and chili pepper can be added according to taste. This dish is very simple to prepare and will turn out even for a beginner cook. The finished dish can be served at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Wash the lamb (breast, loin, shoulder) and cut into pieces weighing approximately 40-50 grams each. Sear the meat until it browns. I will cook it in a multicooker, but you can also use a regular stove.

Step 2

Peel the onion, wash it, cut into small pieces (cubes), add to the meat, and sauté together.

Step 3

Now take the carrots. Wash and peel them, cut into strips, and add to the other ingredients. Don't forget the tomatoes either. Dice them into cubes and add right after the carrots.

Step 4

Be sure to season with salt and pepper! Peel the potatoes and cut them into cubes. Add enough water to cover the potatoes. Simmer for 30-40 minutes (until the liquid has almost completely evaporated).

Step 5

When serving, sprinkle the finished dish with herbs.
