
Porridge
Description
The name of this porridge speaks for itself, as it's made from yellow millet. To make it even more sunny and nutritious, I've added pumpkin. A wonderful dish for both adults and children, perfect for breakfast or afternoon snack.

Prepare the ingredients for making "Solnyshko" porridge.

Peel the pumpkin, wash it, cut into small pieces and transfer to a saucepan or thick-bottomed pot. Pour in about 150 ml of water and cook for 10 minutes.

Rinse the millet well, add it to the pumpkin, and pour in another 200 ml of water.

Cover the pot with a lid and cook until the millet and pumpkin are done. At the end, mash the pumpkin with the millet.

Pour milk into the porridge, add salt and sugar. Cover with a lid and cook over low heat until the liquid has evaporated.

Add a piece of butter to the cooked porridge, mix well.

The "Solnyshko" porridge is ready. Serve with berries, candied fruits, and fresh fruits.
