
Cherry Porridge
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. It's a great breakfast option and an alternative to other porridges. This cherry rice porridge turns out incredibly delicious and tender, as it's cooked in milk with the addition of cream and vanilla sugar. It tastes similar to baby food porridges, and with berries or fruits, it becomes exceptionally tasty. The finished dish can be served immediately.

1. Before you start cooking the rice, rinse it thoroughly until the water runs clear. Cook the rice in milk, like a milk porridge.

2. Separately cook the cherries with sugar. Bring them to a syrupy consistency, then strain through a sieve.

3. If the child has an allergy to milk-containing products, cook the rice in water. This recipe uses regular pasteurized milk. At the end of cooking, add vanilla sugar and cream, and season with salt and sweeten to taste. While our rice porridge is cooking, let's prepare the syrup for it.

4. When the cherries have simmered for about 5 minutes, drain them in a sieve, let all the liquid drain off, then the cherries are ready to be added to the porridge.

5. When the milk porridge is ready, place the cherries boiled in syrup on top, and if desired, drizzle with the remaining cherry syrup. Serve the porridge hot.
